Yukta Garg New Talent Awards for 2006
On Nov. 18 2006, India Club of Greater Dayton introduced Yukta Garg New Talent Awards in her honor. Such awards will be given each year to children up to age 6 performing for the first time on stage for the club. Eleven children received the awards for the year 2006.
Yukta Garg enjoyed participating in India Club events. Her first performance for India Club was at the age of 4 years during Diwali 2004 celebrations where she performed the song ‘Mahi Ve’ and also choregraphed and performed few dance steps with other kids for her Dad’s song ‘Suno Na Suno Na’. Since then she had performed in various events that include:
'Sare Janhan Se Accha’ during Republic Day 2005 celebrations
‘Pallo Latke’ during Holi 2005 celebrations
‘Kanga Re Kanga Re’ during Diwali 2005 celebrations
‘Vijay Hamara Lakshya Hai’ during Republic Day 2006 celebrations
‘Rang De Basanti’ during Vaisakhi 2006 celebrations where she also choregraphed and danced at the age of 5 years for her Dad’s song performance ‘Aaja Soniye’
And ‘Rang De Basanti’ again and ‘Pasha Patel Ni Vaadi’ during DIFI 2006 celebrations.

As an honor and tribute to such a wonderful and talented performer and to recognize and to encourage new talents in the community, India Club of Greater Dayton has introduced annual Yukta Garg New Talent awards in her memory starting with the year 2006. Such awards will be given each year to those kids who are upto 6 years of age ( those who have not yet turned 7 years by the time Club’s Diwali Celebrations are held) and who have performed for the first time on the stage for any India Club event during that calendar year.
In recognition of such new talents, India Club of Greater Dayton conferred upon the following eleven kids the Yukta Garg New Talent awards for the year 2006:
